Life is good!

We are always enjoying lots of laughs with our little Elle! She is jabbering all the time and learning lots of new words... her current favs are uh-oh and kitty. She cruises right along with her baby stroller or Princess car but no independent steps yet.

Isabelle is a big help whenever we are using the computer. :) I think this girl is going to expect her own cell phone and laptop by the time she's two.

Someday...

Someday... Isabelle will probably not be so thrilled that I've shared some of these pictures! She's so stinkin' cute though! Most of these are actually some random photos from the last month or two that never got posted. All is well here-- she's been sick this week, but she has been a trooper like always!

Isabelle's hair is getting so long... a haircut may be in the very near future because she hates having anything in her hair! I am constantly fighting to keep it out of her eyes!

Kristi and Collin visited us last weekend! Isabelle was very excited to play with her cousin Collin (now 5 months). They thought this was pretty fun!

One of Grandma Karwal's "theme rooms" is pirates so the kids have a lot of fun dressing up! Cousin Ayden wanted Isabelle to be a pirate too. In all actuality, Isabelle wasn't so happy about this outfit at first, but once we got out the parrot, she was happy to pull the bird's feathers off.

Snowy days...

The snow sure doesn't seem to being going away anytime soon. We have been enjoying lots of days indoors staying warm! We did bring the snow inside one day as you can see from one of the pictures below. She loved it! We haven't really ventured out in it yet as she can't even stand wearing her coat when we are going places. Therefore, I can't see her being thrilled if I stick her in snowpants too... she just wants to be able to MOVE! And that she is... she isn't walking yet but has started a "tripod" sort of walking so I think her time is coming soon! Not sure I'm ready!

A New Year!

Isabelle loves exploring new places! She's just never quite sure how to get out of them. This one ended in a minor injury. :)

Isabelle's 1st Birthday!

Well, it took me a while to post pictures from Isabelle's special day, but they're finally here. Isabelle's 1st birthday was so much fun! I still can't believe that my little baby is one year old now. We had a birthday party at our house with family on December 7. She celebrated the actual day on December 9! I took a personal day so that I could spend the special day with my special little girl and we had so much fun. Hope you enjoy the pictures!How can you not love this adorable mess?!

I made Isabelle a butterfly cake (which you can't see here) but she had no qualms about digging right in! She made a huge mess and loved it!

Isabelle was spoiled with many gifts from Mommy and Daddy, grandparents, great grandparents and aunts and uncles. She is holding her new baby doll in this picture that she got from Aunt Bekah, Uncle Justin and the boys. Ayden also had to get her a tractor!

If we've learned anything lately about gift giving when they are this age... it is that tissue paper is just as much fun as the actual gift!

This is one of the gifts that Jason and I gave Isabelle. She now has her very own "big girl" chair. She loves it but has no fear of leaning (and falling) right out of it.

Isabelle will be one in less than a month and she is getting into everything now! She loves to explore everywhere... especially places she shouldn't be!

Grandma Karwal let Isabelle play with Christmas beads and she loved them!

This is my old rocking chair from when I was young- she thinks it is so fun to rock in. Check out her wild hair. It is getting difficult to tame these days. :)
